The Club Corner grandstand (Turn 1-2 complex) gives you the best combination of a clear view of overtaking and reasonable price. Cars come off the long Hangar Straight and brake hard into Turn 1, which is where the most passes happen at Silverstone. It is not the most glamorous stand but the action you see there is better than almost any grandstand at a higher price.
British Grand Prix 2026 Ticket Tiers
Silverstone offers five main ticket categories. Here is what each one gets you.
General Admission. Standing access to the outer parts of the circuit including grass banks at Copse, Becketts, and Club corners. No assigned seat. Good views of the cars but you stand in the open. Walk around freely between viewing areas. Best for the atmosphere of the event rather than a specific technical view. Prices from approximately £89 for a single day, £189 for the full weekend (subject to change for 2026).
Grandstand seats. Assigned numbered seats in covered or uncovered grandstands around the circuit. View quality varies significantly by location. The best grandstands for race action are Club (Turn 1 braking zone), Stowe (high-speed corner), and Woodcote (exit of the final chicane). Weekend grandstand passes from approximately £199-350 depending on location.
Premium grandstands. The Wing grandstand and Hamilton Straight grandstands are the highest-profile seated areas at Silverstone. These face the pit lane, start-finish straight, and podium. Premium pricing in the £350-500+ range for the weekend.
Paddock Club. The hospitality experience. Access to the paddock, premium catering, and a grandstand seat. Prices start from around £1,500-2,000 per person for the weekend. Not a practical option for most fans but worth knowing it exists.
On the Grid hospitality. The most exclusive and expensive tier. Access to the actual Formula 1 grid before the race plus premium facilities. Pricing is by enquiry only and runs to several thousand pounds per person.
Camping at Silverstone
Silverstone has extensive on-site camping that is the most practical and cost-effective way to attend the full race weekend without paying for a hotel.
Camping packages are sold with circuit access and cover Thursday through Sunday or Friday through Sunday. Campsite areas around the circuit vary in distance from the main gates. The closest campsites book out first.
Camping package prices for the full weekend (camping plus general admission) typically run £250-350 per person. This works out cheaper than separate hotel and ticket costs for most people coming from outside the local area.
You need to bring your own tent and bedding. Facilities include toilets, showers, and food vendors throughout the camping area. The campsite atmosphere on race weekend is a significant part of the British GP experience for regulars.
When Do British Grand Prix 2026 Tickets Go on Sale?
Silverstone releases British Grand Prix tickets in waves, typically starting in autumn the previous year. General Admission and standard grandstand tickets usually go on sale in October-November 2025 for the 2026 race.
Early bird pricing gives a discount of around 10-15% on standard rates. The cheapest general admission tickets at early bird pricing are the most affordable entry point to the event.

Getting to Silverstone
By car. Silverstone is located between Towcester and Brackley on the A43 in Northamptonshire. Nearest motorway junction is M40 J10 (20 minutes). Parking is available on site for around £20-35 per day. Expect very heavy traffic on race day. Leave early and allow 1.5-2 hours for traffic clearance after the race.
By train. Silverstone Special trains run from London Marylebone to Silverstone station (which only operates during the event) during race weekend. Tickets are sold separately through Chiltern Railways at around £30-50 return. This is the most reliable option to avoid traffic.
By coach. Shuttle buses run from Milton Keynes and Towcester train stations to the circuit on race weekend. Check Silverstone’s transport page for the 2026 shuttle schedule.
